Here is Amblem’s lore, as described reluctantly by Seth the Gluttony Demon:

“Okay, so you have this big guy who is obsessed with my best friend, Malik. (Mal-ik) The author gets annoyed when people mispronounce our names.

Okay, so there is this tired, fallen angel who acts like everything is an inconvenience, yet always seems to get up and help. That’s Malik.

Anyway.

I have a hot wife; her name is Raak. And there is this dragon named Rin who is in love with a seraphim. And then a random human- well, we’re not sure who she is; she showed up after some bandits were transporting her, and Fen got all “let’s be heroes” and saved her.

Fen is a wolf, by the way.

Her name is Talula.

And all this happened after, like, us being in the City Below, a city built in the ground in a pocket portal by three witches. That the three moons are named after.

And so we’re not up on the surface more than six hours after spending twelve years underground when we somehow end up meeting this purple angel-demon. I am not sure what she is. The chosen one, maybe?

Hold on, let me light a cigarette.

Anyway. Malik claims he didn’t adopt Talula. This is false.

So Talula is all like “let’s go on a treasure hunt to find the dagger,” and I am all like “woman, I just wanna find my wife,” and then the dire wolf (Fen) sides with her. And then Malik sides with her, and Talula adopts a floating skull.

And now we’re all on this hunt for a dagger that The Brotherhood, a religious cult, and the Council, the government, is trying to find.

While the literal wrath demon is the leader of the government and kidnaps my best friend.

And what’s worse, the sun is only up for like 8 hours a day; it’s hot, and the velk moon causes Fen to turn into a human. He’s a wolf cursed to turn into a human by his father and then the wrath governor.

It’s a whole thing.

Also, there are pocket portals; a year in a pocket portal is two years in Amblem.

Unless they are illegal, and that’s when The Council gets involved. But you can just pay them off.
