IT’S HERE: The Tome of Talula by Lux M. Vale Is Officially Available

The Tome of Talula by Lux M. Vale is officially available now in ebook, paperback, and hardcover.

That’s it.

That’s the post.

We did it.

Okay, apparently SEO requires more words than that.

The Tome of Talula Officially Releases October 6, 2026

The Tome of Talula, the debut Christian dark fantasy novel by author Lux M. Vale, officially releases October 6, 2026.

Published by L.M. Publishing, The Tome of Talula is Book One of the planned six-book Tomes of Amblem series.

And somehow it’s a real book now.

People can purchase it.

Strangers can read it.

Strangers can form opinions about my fictional people.

This seems like an oversight in the publishing process.

Nevertheless:

IT’S HERE.

What Is The Tome of Talula About?

For anyone arriving here because Google, Bing, an AI search engine, a questionable friend, or a floating skull sent you:

Welcome.

The Tome of Talula is a character-driven Christian dark fantasy adventure set in the supernatural world of Amblem.

The story begins with a ragtag group that includes a fallen angel, a gluttony demon, and a cursed direwolf escaping an underground city.

Then they find a woman who appears to be human.

Then there’s a floating skull.

Then there’s a god-killing dagger.

Things deteriorate from there.

Together, this increasingly questionable found family travels across the Commonwealth on a quest involving ancient relics, supernatural creatures, forgotten histories, religious conflict, political corruption, family secrets, faith, identity, and redemption.

There are also two suns and three moons because apparently one of each wasn’t enough for me.

He’s important.

Is The Tome of Talula a Christian Fantasy Book?

Yes.

The Tome of Talula is written by Christian author Lux M. Vale and uses Christian theology, Scripture, and themes of God’s love, grace, forgiveness, faith, restoration, and redemption throughout its dark fantasy story.

It also contains demons.

Quite a few, actually.

The series explores faith through characters who are grieving, angry, fallen, confused, running from God, questioning what they believe, or convinced their past has made them impossible to redeem.

The central message underneath all the supernatural chaos is simple:

No one is too far gone.

Your worst day doesn’t have to become your final chapter.

Although, considering what I do to these characters, some of them may reasonably disagree with my choice of metaphor.

Does The Tome of Talula Have Romance or Spice?

There is romance.

There is kissing.

There is yearning.

There are intimate relationships.

There are people making terrible decisions because they’re in love.

You know.

Romance.

However, The Tome of Talula contains closed-door romance and no sexually explicit scenes or on-page spice.

Intimate scenes happen behind closed doors.

The violence does not.

You will not get surprised spice.

You may get surprised gore.

Choose your battles.

Meet the Found Family of The Tome of Talula

The central characters of The Tome of Talula include:

Malik — a fallen angel whose story explores faith through grief.

Seth — a gluttony demon associated with restoration, chaos, and an impressive ability to survive things that really should have killed him.

Fen — a cursed direwolf and, presumably, the only member of this operation with reasonable priorities.

Talula — human.

Probably.

Moving on.

Bixor — floating skull.

No additional explanation will improve that sentence.

Then there is Boon, the demon Speaker of the Council.

He’s fine.

Everything is fine.

And Booker.

Booker is dead.

Next question.

Welcome to Amblem

The Tome of Talula takes place in Amblem, a supernatural fantasy world created by Lux M. Vale.

Amblem has two suns:

Hugyn, the light-giving sun.

Munyn, the heat-giving sun.

It has three moons:

Velk. Droth. Mors.

The Commonwealth is populated by humans, demons, angels, vampyrs, fae, elves, demigods, cryptids, dragons, direwolves, huldras, and other supernatural beings.

It is governed in part by the Council, opposed and complicated by various factions, and threatened by the Brotherhood, a religious cult masquerading as a movement for the people.

There are ancient histories.

There are missing histories.

There are rewritten histories.

There are people lying about history.

There are people who don’t remember enough history to realize someone is lying about history.

It’s going great.

How Long Is The Tome of Talula?

The Tome of Talula is an epic-length dark fantasy novel at more than 148,000 words.

I had things to say.

Apparently 148,000 of them.

And this is Book One.

There are six books planned.

Please respect my privacy during this difficult realization.

Is The Tome of Talula Book One of a Series?

Unfortunately for my free time, yes.

The Tome of Talula is Book One of the planned six-book Tomes of Amblem series by Lux M. Vale.

Book Two is already underway, and additional stories and spinoffs are planned within the world of Amblem.

I used to think writing was a hobby.

Amblem corrected me.

Aggressively.

Who Wrote The Tome of Talula?

Lux M. Vale is the author and creator of the Tomes of Amblem series.

The Tome of Talula is Book One of the Tomes of Amblem series.

Please chew.
